Recreation and Coexistence

This is a social integration model that seeks to make coexistence generate lessons in life, learning and values, promoting integration between society and vulnerable groups in Cancun through a warm, happy and innovative interaction model.

This Project arises from the need to adapt vulnerable groups from Cancun’s society into public spaces. Because of the high number of vulnerable groups existing in this area, RECREATION AND COEXISTENCE has been created, a project that seeks to meet the needs of this segment of the population of Cancun which are limited in the support they can offer their families in order to get by and fit into society.

The objective of RECREATION AND COEXISTENCE is to break down barriers of isolation, strengthen self-esteem and achieve mutual learning through reflecting on the right of the people of these vulnerable groups to enjoy public spaces intended for entertainment, with freedom and independence.

OBJECTIVES:

• Socially integrate vulnerable groups from Cancun’s society, strengthening their self-esteem, independence and social skills.
• Raise society’s awareness and promote a culture in favour of the vulnerable groups in Cancun’s society.
• Sensitize the community so they understand the right that vulnerable groups have to enjoy the recreational areas that society offers.
